Hobby Progress: Trollkin Champions

One of my favorite units from back in the day was none other than the Trollkin Champions. I remember running two max units and cleaving through my foes game after game! They were such a fun unit to play with and paint, that it only made sense to start my new adventure with these lovable berzerkers!  The Trollkin Champions are assembled and ready for paint! Overall, the unit went together pretty easily. I forgot what it had been like to work with Privateer Press' resin kits and while they're not bad by any means, they are starting to show some age within the industry standard. My only real complaints were the strange mold lines within hard to reach or high detailed places. Nonetheless, I managed to get them cleaned up and assembled!  I also did a few headswaps between bodies in order to show more variety. If there is one thing I don't like it, models looking exactly like other models! Every warrior in my army needs to look unique! Above you can see...

This blog will be a dedicated public space for me to share my hobby, games, and personal growth within the game Warmachine/Hordes.  A little backstory on me! I am a wargamer of 10 years. I am mostly a Warhammer 40k, Horus Heresy,  and Age of Sigmar player, but about 4 years ago I went pretty heavy into Trollbloods! I collected a massive army (around 400pts???) and it was fully painted! At some point along the way, I sort of fell out of sorts with the game, Trolls being a bottom barrel faction, and the local struggling community, turning my focus back to 40k and Horus Heresy. It was at this time that I sold off almost my entire Trollbloods army. Looking back on this, I don't actually regret this decision. It helped me pay for my entire Horus Heresy Word Bearers army and I am still getting a lot of use and fun out of tha...
